The Vietnam War: A Musical History Episode 09 America, Love It Or Leave It

An educational program about the Vietnam War using music and media clips about the war. It does not take a political position, just merely gives a snapshot in time via music and comments. There is no voiceover as I prefer to let it speak for itself. I have been collecting these songs and clips for almost 25 years. This Season is an introduction to some general themes of the war in Vietnam. Going forward there will be a season on the "In Country" songs, the Peace Movement and the Post War. A note on sources: Bear Family Record's epic 13 cd Collection called Next Stop is Vietnam, a collection of the best of the best. Another great resource is The Vietnam War Song Project on youtube and elsewhere set up by J Brummer. Both are doing a great service in preserving our musical history.
